Currently, one of the fundamental problems of the chemical industries in Afghanistan is the outdated and worn-out equipment that is used in factories in a non-standard manner and with low production capacity. The aim of the current research is to examine the damages and erosions that occur in the equipment of the chemical industries considering their working environment; taking into account the existing deficiencies, strategies are implemented to prevent damages and unfortunate incidents. In order to prevent the erosion and damage of equipment in the chemical industries, various methods such as preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, scientific and empirical management, the use of technology, and equipment life management are employed. As a result, by implementing such strategies, the useful life of chemical industry equipment is extended, and sudden stoppages, economic losses, human casualties, and environmental pollution are prevented. One of the most important factors is the management of the equipment's lifecycle, which is examined as a major strategy for the optimal use of equipment over the period (from purchase to depreciation). Additionally, this research emphasizes the importance of combining all these factors to enhance efficiency and utilization in industrial environments.
